26th March 2010 Angus went along to Falkirk High School with Anja, Andrew, Aidan, Lauren and Ross to take part in the Euro Quiz. Over 20 schools from the Falkirk area took part. Angus must have brought them luck because we came second. Congratulations to the team.

18th March 2010 Camerons granny, Mrs Boyd, celebrated her 100th birthday yesterday. Unfortunately Angus is still in Rio so he sent his cousin Hamish along to join in the party. Congratulations and Happy Birthday from all the pupils of Primary 4B

11th Maarch 2010 The Primary one children staged a fantastic concert this week for the whole school and the mums and dads. The acting and singing were incredible. Angus wanted to have his picture taken with them although I think he was a bit scared of the wolf!

Oh what long scarf you have, Granny

2nd March 2010 Conor and Scott, who were in my class last year, made a power point to teach us about the Northern Lights. We saw some great pictures and learned a lot, thank you boys.

16th February 2010 Lots of news today:

  • Angus has been invited by Maggie on a very special trip next year - The Lapland Husky Trail. Their challenge will begin in Tromso, Norway and will finish 250km later at the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjarvi, Sweden. You'll remember Maggie took Angus to the Great Wall of China last year.
They will be spending 6 days sledding a team of Huskies through highlands, deep forests and over frozen lakes. It will be tough. A typical day will be at least 14 hours and their challenge will involve, feeding, bedding and preparing the Huskies, putting up and taking down their tents, cooking their own meals and helping around camp.
As you can imagine, this is no luxury challenge with temperatures dropping to -20 during the night! I'll get more details about it soon, but it certainly sounds like hard work. I hope Angus can handle huskies.
  • Angus is away tonight with the Primary 7s to a quiz night involving a lot of kids from different schools in the cluster.

8th February 2010 Primary 5/4H have been producing calendars. All together they raised £300. £100 went to the school fund and £200 to Macmillan Cancer Support!!! All the children had special roles; secretaries, sales people, resource team and photographers, who took the photos of famous land marks in Falkirk.

Everyone got a job. They were either the jobs above or selling the calendars at the Christmas Fayre.

3rd February 2010 Mrs Cloke came back to visit us again this year to tell the new class all about Vis de Copil. The children were all very interested in the good work her family are doing in Romania. We have already been on her blog so it was nice for the class to meet her in person. We hope to have a direct link through the web cam sometime soon.

21st January 2010 We had a visitor to the classroom today. This is Homer, he is a 10 year old african tortoise. We had to stay very quiet because he doesn't like a lot of noise. Doh!

I would also like to thank Sophie M for taking these pictures and emailing them to me. She is a very good help and very good at I.T. Well Done!
