Houses and Homes 2010
In our houses and homes topic we have been learning about the people involved in building houses and the order of building.
We have been researching houses around the world and completing personal projects about different types of houses. We have learned that climate, location and available resources influence the style of houses in different areas.
Greg made this fantastic igloo as part of this year's project.
We have been working hard to complete our personal projects and here are some examples of our models.
In art we have been exploring pattern and texture and developing colour mixing skills to produce perspective pictures. We have also constructed skyline pictures.
In ICT we have been using www.architectstudio3d.org to learn about architecture and to design our own 3d houses.
We were lucky to have Laura with us to tell us about the process of buying and selling houses and we will write our own schedules soon. We have a lot more work to do.
Stuart and Calum brought in their projects today, don't they look great.
