My trip to Petra

My Friend Liz, who I met in Peru in 2007 invited me to visit Petra in Jordan in December 2008. Petra is one of the 7 wonders of the world and is a large temple carved in to a rock face in mountains in the middle of the desert..

We travelled across the desert on camels and in Jeeps. The next picture is me in Syria. We are planning our trip and I am reading all about the temples at Petra.

This Treasury can be seen in an Indiana Jones Movie, It is very famous. It was carved into the rock face hundreds of years ago. It must have taken a very long time to make and it is very big so it was probably on grand designs or something.
