World of Work Week 2008

This is world of work week. Today we had a lady from The Dogs Trust who told us all about how to look after a dog properly and also what they do each day to look after the dogs at the trust. Angus got to meet Donny the dog! Alessia got to groom him.

Quite a few different people visited our school this week to tell us about the jobs they do as part of the world at work week. Among them were a Vet - Mr Purves, a Photographer - Mr Borg-Greche (his son Alex is in my class), a Bookbinder - Mr Valentine, a Hairdresser - Mrs McLean, an Engineer - Mr McQuire, a Police Officer - PC Bennie, a Nurse - Mrs Nicol, a Physiotherapist - Mrs McCaig, a Librarian - Mrs Macfarlane, a Human Resources Lady - Mrs Fulton, a Health Club Manager - Mr Robb, a Retail Manager - Mrs Campbell, and an Optician - Mr Davidson.

I have pictures of some of them here. It was very interesting to see everybody and hear about their jobs. Mr Davidson , The Optician let me try on a pair of glasses. Mrs Boyiatjis thinks I look very nice in them. What do you think??
