World of Work Week 2009Ronnie Murray (Safety advisor) and Dai Davies (Fire Officer) from Ineos visited our class this afternoon. They showed us an interesting video and told us how they keep the plant safe. We learned that you cannot take certain items to work with you because they can interfer with the delicate equipment. The site is so big that everyone has to sign in and out to make sure they know where everyone is just in case of accidents, which are rare. We were allowed to try on some of the safety equipment. The hats were too big for Angus but he did try on the safety goggles. Ronnie and Dai gave everyone a keyring with Ineos on it, they will be great in the winter because they are reflective.
Christine Campbell from Riverside Aquarium came to tell the P3 children how to set up a tank for tropical fish and how to look after the fish. Angus loves fish so he had to go and see what it was all about. ![]() Angus was out and about today to see what other visitors were in the school, he is so nosey! Mr McQuire is an engineer from Outreach. He is a regular visitor to the school because he is our PT's husband
