The Year Of The Ox

On 26th January, we celebrated the start of the Chinese year of the Ox. The Chinese have twelve different animals which they use to remember the years. Just like we have twelve signs of the Zodiac and we use them to tell our horoscopes. The chinese can tell your personality from the year that you were born (as well as other things like your material sign, the position of the moon and the hour you were born. It is very complicated.

The kids made some lovely, traditional, Chinese masks to mark the New Year. I'm sorry that Angus was not in class the afternoon they were made so he is the only person without a mask in this picture.
